You may encounter an error saying Kernel Atom Ubuntu 12.04. Coincidentally, there are a number of steps you can take to fix this issue. We’ll come back to this in a moment.
I’m trying to install Ubuntu on an older Dell Inspiron Mini 10 that still has the “Designed as Microsoft Windows XP” sticker on the front. 🙂
The problem is that a normal specialist does not work at all. I was trying to use Ubuntu 12.04.5 32-bit on a desktop on a USB drive because I found somewhere that 12.04 is required to be compatible with the Inspiron mini 10.< /p>
After selecting “Install” in the boot options, I see the Ubuntu logo with “Download Points” after about a minute, but at that point it inevitably turns into a very large error message popping up like this:< /p>

I also read something on a hosting site that suggested hitting “tab” in your current boot options and then manually running a command like forcepae --forcepae
. So I tried this, but it doesn’t change anything; I still get almost the same error message.

Anyone who has tried to make sure you are booting the Ubuntu ISO with the new kernel version (v4.12-rc3) has come across a black partition because the boot fails on Intel Atom devices. This is done in order to actually force a new fix that causes a reasonable regression and demonstrates the risks associated with using the release candidate software in a production environment. The standard best solution is to compile your own version of this kernel and roll back any bug fixes, but not everyone feels safe trying to do this.

‘ This script allows you to add/remove files and sources, and also gives you the ability to issue commands and print their results. This task is relatively simple. Use this new process feature to compile a good kernel and create a custom ISO.
It is clear that the two-part process creates ISO-a “build” image that provides the kernel binaries, which must then be installed as local instructions in a second process that marks the ISO as “installed”.
As a simple first step, I chose to download source files to use in compiling. While this can often be done in the context of re-rotation, this is not a big advantage and certainly a disadvantage when creating custom builds.
